I have always loved the Celtic Harps.

Celtic Harps

Celtic harps are playing

Pulling at my heart strings.

Their music so soft and sweet,

I hear them in my dreams.

Songs of long times gone

Echo through my heart,

Making me smile,

Remembering from years ago.

Celtic harps and violins,

Swirling around in the room,

Lifting up my spirits,

To happiness and not gloom

Oh Danny Boy is playing now,

Bringing memories of the hills.

The glens all covered with heather,

Giving me the chills.

For I can remember the days,

Spent walking in the glen,

Loveliness surrounding me,

As I dream of them again.

Celtic harps keep playing,

Filling my heart and soul,

Smiles and happiness,

Remembrances of long ago.

The Celtic harp, music of such sweetness and pathos that that you feel your heart being awakened to profound mysteries as you listen.

Scotland, Ireland, Britanny, Galicia and Wales. The songs of old linger on still.

Being of Celtic descent myself, I am particularly drawn to what your verses express, Kathleen. Thank you. Love and best wishes to you,

Born of Irish parents in America I was brought up with the love of Irish music and can relate to this wonderful poetic memory of violins and the harp. Became a concert violinist but firt cut my teeth playing all the Irish tunes for my parents. Good one Kathleen brings back happy memories.
