Our orange tabby, Pierre Peppercorn....

I awoke from my dreams

To answer the call

Of Mother Nature

To visit the throne room

Just down the hall.

But wait, there is a big orange

Furball so quietly sleeping

Sometime during this night

Silently creeping to rest

His sweet head

On his throne in my chest.

I don’t want to disturb him

But I know I must.

I stretch out my hand

And so gently touch

This sweet gentle kitty

Asleep on his throne.

When suddenly he slashes

With his outstretched claws.

He snarls and he hisses to make

His will known.

How dare you awaken the king

On his throne.

The message is clear from

The cuisinart King

It is you who are owned

And  servant

To the King.
