When you lose love to murder, it never is forgotten.

My eyes close with a final kiss

That is my last memory of her

She lays buried under the ground in Georgia

The victim of a senseless jealous suitor

So quick was he with a 32 we never had a chance

Beverly had positioned herself in front of me

To shield me of all people, out  of harm's way

She exposed her way to the bullet's path

That was twenty six years ago

It feels like just this morning

Even in this desert wasteland I expect her to arrive at my door

She would say her usual greeting hi Tony Bronx

And I would warm to her as a man possessed by his lover

Now everything is gone, passe, never to be the same again

Why in the laws of torment do I live on

No one knows my sadness, nor will they ever

It is goodbye to love, to life, it is my time

For everlasting peace-----------

Murder imprints us deeper than anything
My Mother's death has never left me & I
only recently in EMDR therapy was revealed
just how it has affected every aspect of my life
a vault I carry so to speak that I didn't even
know I carried...

I am human and hope the man who stole my intended life
from me suffers...of course then I feel bad to say such a thing...

This line moves my heart Tony:
"And I would warm to her as a man possessed by his lover"

Within Love's Presence

I can hear you begging for rest in this writing, Tony. This is well written, and it gives so much to the memory of your friend, Beverly, that it feels tributary and warmly honoring of her. I am sorry for this tragedy, and how you have had to live on with it in your presence, Tony; surely, Beverly, wanted to protect you for all the right reasons, and she did. Nevertheless, this writing shows much expressive talent and passion, and these, I hope, never will go away. Enjoy life, Tony. Thanks for sharing this.

You can find peace here on Earth, Tony, just have to open your heart and mind to it..Sometimes we just get dealt those bad hands, but somehow we all manage to recover one way or the other..

I wish for you much peace and love and lightness,
Amber
