See her stepping off of
the bus that takes her home
She carries such an air of ease
but feels so all alone
She dreamed of being queen one day,
to shower love, to reign
But no one ever gave a damn
so now, she hides the pain
She wears a suit of armor
She doesn't seem to care
She's always got her fairytale
Her prince is always there
She knows he's always somewhere
Though never sure inside
If her make believe prince
He can't touch her when she cries
She keeps on chasing pipe dreams
She looks to every man
But nothing makes the distance
to her disenchanted land...
Cause knights in shining armor
are never gonna be
And what she thinks of walking home
is just a fantasy
Her dreams of horse drawn carriages
ease the nightmare of her days
So she doesn't cry, but curtsies
As the driver pulls away.

| A sad fantasy in a sweet child. This makes me want to send her a hug, although she lives in words. |

It seems this woman made an impression on you and you have written descriptively well...
Be always safe,

Kristina,
We all like to daydream of our "shining prince in armor" You've let us know through your wonderful poem, even though you can dream, sooner or later, reality hits.
