you gotta light?

I found something lost
Skipping the Caldera rim
An image of you

I lost something found
Despite my good intentions
My wisdom left me

I tried excuses
Finding it somewhat in vain
I apologized

Your eyes smiled briefly
You accepted my remorse
Then served me papers

Great depth to this Senryu chain, Richard. The last verse had me wondering the most. Nicely composed. Love and Hugs,

My friend John just received a "Dear John" letter via voice mail (puke) last night on his phone. He played it for me. Woman said she just wanted someone to listen to her never-ending, evil clown circus rat's tail of complaints about her ex-husband of 16 years, etc. etc. John was quite bemused. I mean, voice mail for heaven's sake? Dear oh dear. Seems to be going around.

Drifting right out of your poem into my face as I read this most clever and enjoyable writing.
