Some say we are what we eat, please be careful what you grind up in my meat. Drop in a little fiber, soy and products of wheat, so I can have cleaner brain and seat.

Rotten apples spoil the whole
barrel of good
so goes the spill of blood
Innocent people ending up dying
babies and children be crying
all because of a stupid greedy
extreme violent few
mixed up in our stew
Maybe it's because of the stew
The news media will hire an
investigating crew
Sometimes it isn't right
how they screw with our appetite
Move a little more to the left or right
so I can keep the butcher in my sight
Don't even move slight
cause I'm a little uptight

The saying should say
an apple a day keeps God away
First man bit the apple
then modern man juiced it up
in snapple
The funky old pig taste good
ends up as scrapple
Man's diet isn't complete
without some type of meat
As time passes on man seems
to get meaner
his crimes go further than misdemeanor
The hoodlums do employ a cleaner
No telling what's in a hot dog weiner
Gangsters love hanging in
the meat slaughter house
What could be seen through the
eyes of a mouse
or a fly on the wall
when the devil comes to call

We are what we eat
then we let it out through the seat
After the flush is complete
certain elements continue to stay
No wonder you act that way
some oinker got in your say
or garbage that ran astray
The animals finally get their
full revenge the day you pass away
Please have a nice day
before you have to pay
Maybe at least pray
It'll be too late after you decay

Your verses make me glad that I do not eat much meat (certainly not hot dogs). "Food" to ponder upon, OPG. Thank you. Love and peace,

If only we would eat better/healthier! If only farmers would not "play" with our food. If only the bottom line didn't matter! Good words that give me pause OPG.

Sometimes those hotdogs are made of Turkey. By the way, I like scrapple.
I enjoyed the write.
God bless,

I am decaying as we speak, as are we all, from the first day of birth then we start eating all those disgusting foods, though I have always been a hot dog eater...probably how my gall bladder got so bad...;-) Ed

I was thinking about writing a hot dog poem the other day. Now I do not have to do it. Thanks OPG. Just thought I'd drop in for a call. The farmer from Appalachia came up to side of the road, shotgun in hand, and looked at the stranger up and down who just created fresh possum road kill. The farmer looked hard at the possum lying there with its guts hanging out on the hot asphalt, and then back at the stranger and said, "You gonna eat that mister?"
