Are you a ghost or a dream, You who holds me so tenderly In the small hours Of the night? I feel the rough softness Of your hair-kissed skin The warmth of your breath Upon the back of my neck Micromoments Before you kiss it; But, as always, You keep your face From my gaze So I've never known Who you are, Who you've always been These many years of nights Spent together. Are you Cupid To my Psyche? Are you my own personal god Slipping between my sheets With the understanding That I must never try To discover Who you are? Though I may wonder I promise, I will await you And your loving On your terms If you will only Keep coming Back to me.

Sooooo beautiful this is. It returns me to the memory of Jim (A Love who had 'passed away') came to hold me in the dawn of a dream. . .and in my heart I knew his spirit had really come to hold me and tell me, "Everything will be OK." I hope yours comes back to you.
