Through tunnels dark you flew to me
in my heart's most difficult hour.
I felt your soft hand touch my brow,
your fingers stroke loose strands of hair.
In the silence I found your soul's song,
alive with love for me, and I stirred
from slumber deep to find your kind eyes,
a thousand miles away but searching still.
I only hope that where you are you heard me
whisper in your ear reminders of ageless,
unending rivers deep coursing with a rising love.
We reach and seek openings of expression,
Never minding separation of time and space.
We have come to understand mere illusion of
distance and flow one to the other with ease
and grace, awaiting that sweet reunion place.

|I like the soft flow of the poem... but I drowned in the depths of the phrase "illusion of distance"... What a mind boggling concept, that in deep thought becomes such a "no duh" idea... :~)
