you and your popular obscurity
so popular it's obscure
so obscure it's popular
and it's not the writing of these words
it's the ink you choose to pour
the words are just the clothing
that you refuse to remove
can't expose your lines
afraid he's just in it for the punctuation
I'd fuck you anyway, exclamation
I'd fuck you anyway
pick up your feet
watch them shuffle away
Grand Central Station to catch a ride
out of a city crawling with creeps and lies
your body looks out of the window
of the backseat of a taxi cab
gazes like a stranger at your brain
dressed as a beggar
and pissing on a brick wall
thinking, because that's what brains do,
of the world it'll someday rejoin.
