I do not define family

By simply the blood lines that tie us together

Or by surnames

Sometimes the Lord just brings people

Into your life and makes you feel

Like your family

My family are the ones I can

Stay up laughing or crying with

The ones who forgive me when I screw up

And Lord knows I forgive them too!

My family are the ones I can laugh with

At a joke we told two days

Ago!

My family are the ones

Who will listen to me vent

About nothing and everything

And who will make me laugh

When I am feeling down.

I love you girls to me you

Are family

The Lord blessed me with a niece

And an awesome best friend who

Shows me what it is to truly care.
