A fairy flew into my hand
said now there`s something you should understand,
to make the things you wish come true
takes oodles of magic and morning dew.
As I have only just earned my wings,
please can you wish for easy things.
She said she had to work real hard,
to earn her special fairy card.
she said I was assigned to you,
your wishes, I`ll try and make come true .
But can you start by wishing small
as I just cant guarantee them all.
I said forgive me little fairy do,
I didnt know that you were new
but you made me realise today,
I shouldnt wish my life away.
She looked at me and gave a smile,
said, come lets sit and talk awhile
We talked all day of many things,
like magic dust and fairy rings
at last she made me understand
that mortal life just cant be planned.
So when you wish, just think it through
as that little fairy might be new.
