Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.
Ralph Waldo Emerson(1803-1882) U.S. poet, essayist and lecturer.

When astronaut, Neil Armstrong landed on the moon he stood to stare
He said, “But where is the moon. I don’t see it anywhere
Said Michel de Montaigne, “I write to keep from going mad because I find
I see contradictions among all mankind
George Orwell said, “Doublethink means the power of holding to contradictory beliefs in one mind and accepting both at the same time
Insurance companies write policies with exclusions to exclusions. There’s no reason or rhyme
William Blake added this. “Do what you will. The world is a fiction
And as such it is made up of contradiction
Says the dictionary, “contradiction is an ambiguity or disputation
It stands for denial or opposition
An understatement is a word which implies underestimation
It’s the complete opposite of an exaggeration
For instance a road sign stands there even in July
Reading, “Bridge freezes before road.”
That’s not likely with summertime temperatures that high
For every extreme there is an opposite
Comedians make their living using this and his wit
In Monty Python and the Holy Grail, declared the Black Knight
“It’s only a flesh wound.” But both arms were cut off. What a sight?
