From my book Finding the Light of Jesus. Will be out Nov. 1st 2010. Can purchase it on Amazon.

As a child, you may have been told
that you can’t draw or sing
You were told you are stupidAsked,

“Why did you do that?”
You still don’t feel like you can
do anything right

You believed them;
now you say those words to yourself
The words sink deeper and deeper

They become a part of your psyche
Then one day you meet someone
who looks at you

Not the you that you see,
but the real you
This person sees gifts you didn’t know you had

You say to yourself,
“Could this be true ?
Are there things I can do?”

You tried, a little at a time
You use your gift
and found out you liked it

Other people saw
what you could achieve
Then you tried another gift

You found challenges
and many barriers, yet you
remembered the friend who encouraged you

Wow! It worked; it really worked!
You created something
that came from the deepest part of you!

You were pleased, and sure enough,
others saw and admired your creativity
You developed a relationship with Jesus

You were becoming whole
You were not letting the people who said those things
when you were a child  have control of your life anymore

You realized that
they have problems,
and you forgave them

Yes, you forgave them
Think back . . .
What helped you on your positive journey?

Oh, yes, the One who
first believed in you
Please pass it on

Wonderful rendering and oh so true. If not for God and Jesus I am not sure I would have made it this far...

Be always safe,

For some people unfortunately it is true Andy. I agree it is sad.My hope is that people who had this kind of experience can realize they CAN do things and once they know this to help others know they also can do it.Thanks Andy.

With Love,
Cindy

Bloody heck, is this for real?
We were told anything is possible and we had the brains do do it, so use it.

Gosh, this is rather sad.

Hebrews 11 - We need to dream with The Lord in mind. Wonderful thoughts and visions can come true with Christ we can do anything.

Amen,
