Tail Gate (Collaboration) By Doug Bentley & Allan Broussard

I had a dream last night
The day the dead in Christ will rise
And as I was drinking my morning coffee
I thought from that dream occur to me
“Oh - what a SIGHT - to see”

So I loaded up -  in my old pick up
And I drove to the edge of town
Where the crickets - and June bugs -  make the only sound
I pulled up to the resting place
Where granny and grandpa and loved ones lay
I got out - let that old tail gate down.

And with a smile on my face
Sitting there on -  that old tail gate
I said Lord “Ohhhh -  what a SIGHT -  to see”
I said Lord “What a SIGHT -  to see”
The dead in Christ -  getting on their feet.
When they hear -  Your trumpet sound
That grave yard dirt -  won’t hold them down
I said Lord “What a SIGHT - to see.”

Well I sat there -  an hour or so
Reading God’s Word
And I had to go
As I drove by -  my loved ones graves
Oh the Lord spoke to me
Said maybe tomorrow it will be
“Ohhhh  - what a SIGHT - to see”

Now time to time
I load up -  in that old -  pick up truck
I drive to the edge of town
Where the crickets -  and June bugs - make the only sound
I pull up to the resting place
Where granny and grandpa and loved ones lay
I get out - let that old tail gate down.

And with a smile on my face
Sitting there on  - that old tail gate
I said Lord “Ohhhh -  what a SIGHT -  to see”
I said Lord “What a SIGHT  - to see”
The dead in Christ - getting on their feet.
When they hear  - your trumpet sound
That grave yard dirt  - won’t hold them down
I say Lord “What a SIGHT  - to see.”
I say Lord "Ya'll wait for me."

Doug Bentley would like to thank Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior for
allowing him to be a part of this song.

He would like to tell Allan Broussard and Dale Prater how grateful he is that
God put them together that night at Firm Foundation where they talked about the rapture. Reading the Bible verses about Jesus' Second Coming
where He promised and confirmed His return.

He would also like to thank Jon Raney with Raney Recording Studio, Drasco, AR for all his help.

To his mother , Julia Faye Bentley who took the cover picture.

And last BUT not least, my wife - Berva Dawn Harrison Bentley.
