Sometimes, no matter how old we are, we long to be in the safety of our parent's love

When I'm fasy asleep at night
In my dreams I take flight
I soar back to childhood days
where I feel safe and filled with love
I see my Mother and my Dad
and all the childhood friends I had
I hear my Father's voice in song
I would often sing along
My mother would comb and brush my hair
I always love to see her there
How I wish I could really go back in time
And let them read every line
To let them know how much I cared
To let them they were revered
So, know it's flowers on two graves
with words unheard, and songs unsung
But, I think they knew that they were loved
And for that, I thank God above
