FOR A TIME

being human
i am lonely at times
but i am never desperate

i trust in the powers
greater than humanity
to guide my course

i forever believe in love
and its ability
to bring lovers together

being human
i am sometimes restless
but never panicked

what is meant to be will be
and i do not expect
to live and die alone

in the meantime
there are poems to pen
and women to romance

there is good wine
good company
more than good conversation

there are moonlit nights
and candlelit bedrooms
where loneliness is forgotten

for a time......

DJ.
Your quiet heart shines throughout this poem. I feel a sorta lightness and willingness to begin a new phase in your life. I hope and pray that "she" comes to you and you do find a love that will sweep you off your feet. Open your mind and your heart, it's going to happen and real soon. You are ready to have candlelit bedrooms and beautiful moonlit nights of passion to dab away any loneliness that lingers at least for a time.....

Love you and may peace and light shine within you,
Amber

It speaks of who I know DJ to be...your style is so mellow and classy so don't ever stop not even For A Time...you deserve the best woman in leather and lace and don't forget Sage said it! Love to you, DJ...it's good to see you back on this board tonight. Be well.

Love,
Sage

OMG if I were single, I don't think I've ever been in a candlelit bedroom, and the wine, well, don't get me started. Just keep writing DJ, and she'll come along and meanwhile the rest of us will read your poetry and sigh.
Blessings,
Christine

Wistful, reflective and tender, DJ,
with quiet affirmation and optimism.

I love the gentleness of your poem, but I can see the lover inside the man.
You can knock on my bedroom door on any one of these moonlit nights, I will make you feel very welcome!

Ciao,
Ragno Donna
