One Dark Halloween Night

A spooky halloween story .....if you dare to read it! Boooooo!

Into the dark one Halloween night
Crept Mary Catherine Veronica White.
No fear had she of things unseen,
To the depths of hell she’d already been!
She had to find him, afore they could
Or pierce his heart they surely would!
Her master had promised eternal life,
And she’d long ago become his wife.
Duty bound to protect him now,
She had to rescue him somehow.
Dogs howled as the lynch mob neared,
Watching them, she smelled their fear!
She was one against a group of eight,
But on her side the power of hate!
Noose at his neck, hands bound at his back,
Her master they dragged behind the pack.
Rage seared her heart, as her eyes turned red,
She swore that soon they’d all be dead!
One by one she brutally took them out,
That she would win, she had no doubt!
But the very last man took a stand,
A spike the shape of a cross in his hand,
In the blink of an eye he found his mark,
And drove the spike in her master’s heart!
No fear had he of the wicked undead,
His very last thought as she took his head!
Bathed in blood, her scream pierced the night,
Even though she’d won, she lost the fight.
Seething with anger, she cursed humankind,
And upon their blood she vowed she would dine!
On Halloween night she creeps around,
When all of the witches and goblins are found!
So be cautious and careful whatever you do,
Mary Catherine Veronica is watching you!

I harbor little fear
Of Mary Cathrine Veronica
She has yet to hear
Me play my Halloween harmonica

With notes that raise the dead
And drive all evil away
As well as my dogs and spouse
Every time I try to play

Let her watch all she can. If I see her I will offer her a drink. Seriously, a well crafted piece of horror.

GOD BLESS YOU
