I'm in a tower of black seated on nothingness
My legs are crossed and within me is peace
I sit before a small window looking out patiently
Through it I see the night sky and countless stars
The horizon is dark as ink far in the distance
You will come soon, my lover, my soul's twin
Soon I will see you arrive through that opening
There is a light that pierces the atmosphere
To cast shadows of trees and promises of hills
Despite the overwhelming dark it is enough to see
Within my breast my heart pulses a beacon
A silent, ancient call that only you could answer
You will come soon, my eternal love, my partner
I am struck by the consuming silence of this place
By the gaping absence of your consummating presence
You are a bounty of unimaginable wealth
You are the feast of timeless Gods unknown
There you are, moving toward the sound of my heart
You've found me and I my chest expands painfully
With the love and pride that I hold for you
You, my life's blood, my gift from God, have found me
We are now one step closer to our reward.

'Love is in the will' I feel is appropriate here, April; this gentle yet forceful compulsion toward completeness...out of the empty and dark comes love because it is willed to come.
Taut, strong writing.
