A poem of forgiveness....

I loved you like I loved no other
Trusted you, believed in you
For all the pain you caused me to suffer
I forgive you my brother

I left my home to be with you
Loving you was all I wanted to do
Yet you chose to love another
For this I forgive you my brother

I ain't the only woman that’s been broken
Or whose heart has been used as a token
I thought I was your girl, unlike no other
I forgive you my brother

You can’t stay mad forever, right?
So I declare you the winner of this fight
Remember you are beautiful said my mother
Despite everything, I forgive you my brother

I gave time time and it healed my wounds
I reflected on the love that once made us float to moon
I chose to let go of the hurt so I wouldn’t smother
I forgive you my brother

After everything we’ve been through
I need you to know that I will always love you
The real meaning of forgiveness is what I rediscovered
You are my friend and I forgive you my brother
