Sometimes, we have to wait on God, who is the inspirer, to give the Words that are first meant for the poet, and then for others. But, today, is not one of those days...today is a time when Almighty God has shown Himself so Strong and Mighty in my life, that I am 'overflowing' with adoration for my Redeemer. God has turned the arrows of my oppressors back...yes, those spiritual oppressors who for years made me feel like I could not sing and diligently 'nailed' within my soul and mind a spirit of low self esteem and disbelief were at last defeated. At 66, the gift of song that God and God alone has placed within me is still there and His Spirit rides within my vessel...He has, at last, given me the victory! I sang, not only today but, also, a couple of Sundays ago...He used me to sing for Him! I sang because...just 'ONE KNIGHT WITH THE KING' has made all the difference in my life. I sang because God, 'JESUS, IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME'! I sang because I Love Him and because...I want everyone to know and I sang because others need to know...if you trust and never doubt, God will surely bring you out. I am a witness to the fact... that whatever 'gifts' God has placed within His children, cannot be taken away by any means and cannot be silenced! They may lay dormant for a while, but they still reside in the vessel where He placed them...Praise God and Hallelujah! I Thank You, I Thank You... My Unfailing Benefactor!
My Unfailing Benefactor...
You, who is the source of my being
You, who fills me with confidence
You, who has never failed me
My Wondrous Savior...
You, who knows my every weakness
You, who strengthens
and encourages me
You, who has made me to stand
in Your courts
upon High Places
My Victorious Warrior...
You, who has silenced
the voice of darkness
You, who told me to trust
You, who keeps me
My Heavenly Inspiration...
You, who has never disappointed me
You, the source of 'all' my joy
You, the one who has caused me
to laugh at my oppressors
in my old age...
Unto Thee, O God, I say
Thank You! Thank You
for the 'gift' of song...
