Of which is the greatest significance,
That which we do,
Or that which unto us is done?
We travel the earth,
Choosing wisely or not
The path whose destination we are unaware,
For nature and circumstance
Lay ruin to the loftiest of aspirations.
Let not dread, however, be your shame,
For in the loneliest of nights
There are kindred spirits about you,
Fearing just as you
That ruin lay nearby,
Preparing its ambush
On you and those of your kind.
Strength, dear friend, is your favor,
For there is power in your legion,
All diverse,
Some greater, others lesser,
But circumstance the same:
For it is here that courage names the victor,
Bathed as you are in clarity and daring,
But knowing that patience will hold the day.
I have seen you, wise man of the ages,
And I appreciate your clever ways,
For in the day of disenchantment
You reflect the glory of another,
And bask in the sun’s warming rays.

Ah, Frank... you have no idea... no idea how much I needed to hear these words today. :~) dread & lonely nights have been my companion... searching for strength and courage... now just waiting with impatience to be bathed in clarity and daring... but in all those words that ring the loudest are these:
"There are kindred spirits about you,
Fearing just as you
That ruin lay nearby...
there is power in your legion"
Thanks, Frank!
