the cornfields are all drying up the sun shining down
weather is changing trees are beginning to show some red
birds begin to take formations southward
the twilight season of life

i feel a part of this change as i reach that stage of my life
where youth is a memory of days past
and i now begin to reflect on purposes
the twilight season of life

the clouds cover the sky and darken
with winter storms brewing over the horizon
the chill in the air reminds us what is to come
the twilight season of life

i see myself  changing with the seasons
now my hair is gray wrinkles appear overnight
and like the changing of time i have changed who i am
the twilight season of life
