This is about the pain of lost love, and the inclination to try to recapture what was lost.

Chira - Memories Of Lost Love

How could this be so Chira?
After all these years,
To find you still alive.
My spirit has waned where once it burnished brightly.
Remember Chira,
Recall those youthful days,
Where sorrow belonged to everyone else.
Now those times are long ago
As your ageless face gazes once more upon mine.
What sorrow do I have now?
More than I missed
For it is here forever in the essence of my life.
I loved you once, Chira.
I loved you more than anyone before or since.
I walked upon the clouds to your heart and we were joyous.
Our love was beautiful then,
But now it is locked away in a long forgotten prison cell.
I could open that lock, Chira,
But perhaps I cannot find the key,
Or perhaps I do not want to.
For once a love is lost, Chira,
It should stay that way forever.

I find this poem intriguing, because I hardly ever see anything that refers to my name "Chira". I pronounce it (Shir-ray), it was given to me by my father and I am forever thankful that he gave me such a unique name. It was nice to see it used in a poem. How is it pronounced in this poem?
