Beach
There’s a beach down near my home town
Where solitude’s a gift from God’s own hand
His sunset’s frame the memories of time
Can you see it in your heart to understand
Come, won’t you share with me this blessing
Won’t you meet me tonight on our beach
We’ll embrace in the afterglow of yesterday
With tomorrow’s hope almost in our reach
I’ll slow kiss you as the stars highlight forever
Hold you tight as the moon smiles with love
Then we’ll dance to the love song in our hearts
With music Angels send from high above
And if the morning should find us tangled…
in a bed of cotton sheets and memories
We’ll go walking on that beach again together
To watch the sunrise awake the briny seas…
