I really love my morning walks and this time of year I am constantly amazed by the beauty of nature changing before my very eyes

The sunrise comes later, a delayed daybreak
The cool night air on your face greets you as you wake
The trees stand quietly with possibly a shiver here and there
The leaves are slowly turning various colors everywhere
The clouds have moved higher in the clear blue sky
There are no geese or butterflies to greet your eye
The silence is somehow serene and extremely beautiful
As one walks in the cool morning air your thoughts are calm and peaceful
It is October, a time when the autumn air deliberately seems to take command
When all of nature changes and its alterations show across the land
Oh, the peace one feels as he witnesses its exquisiteness
The coolness of the air, its colors and its peaceful loveliness
It’s October the fall, the equinox, the autumn’s splendor
One owes it to one’s self to take time to admire its grandeur

Oh, the peace one feels as he witnesses its exquisiteness;
The coolness of the air, its colors and its peaceful loveliness

Having just returned from the northwood, I can truly relate - so marvelous, indeed.

And the One who created it. A most delightful poem as I feel as you do as I walk in its splendor.
