Solitary Cliff

 

Grains bonded together pressed into cliff walls

Adhesive sandstone faces feeling abrasive timeframes

Wind aged cracked crevasses weather season’s squalls,

Million year old vigil bearing the solitary survival game.

 

Contrasts of bleaching hot sun and a chilling cold nights

Torrents of reigning rain then periods of long droughts

Frosty winter’s sleet bite springs to suntan summer’s heat lotion

Majestic morning sunrise vistas onto serene pastel sunsets.
