"How to write a Triolet" was quite an interesting experience as I read the article on Forward Press website. I guess I'm just a romantic soul!

Path of Least Resistance

You stole my heart the night we met
Your eyes foretold the love we'd share
Resisting you, I turned and yet
You stole my heart the night we met
My heart leaped in a pirouette
Fingers caressed your silken hair
You stole my heart the night we met
Your eyes foretold the love we'd share

You stole my heart with your sweet verse
so beautifully presented and so well rehearsed
You stole my heart with your sweet words
The most beautiful words this heart has heard
Wonderful writing,
God bless,

Nice job!! I like the lively meter of this poem. I never heard of this style before. I'd like to see more of it, though.

I'm also looking for a new way to deliver the words. I like this, and I am sure I will be using it soon.

This poem is romantic for sure. You captured the heart of the romantic as you weaved your desire into words. Very well done, Connie.
