Salvation

By Amber "V" Moonstone

10/18/10

The Sand crunched
beneath winter feet;
as the Wind blew
dark autumn hair.

The Ocean spoke,
with each wave that kissed
the weathered shore,
calling you home.

Sunset illuminated
the darkened clouds,
as if trying to push
lightness back  into you.

The Heavens opened its heart,
accepting all your inequities;
knowing the goodness
that dwells within your soul.

Seagulls flock,
hovering close to shore,
weathering all storms
with eagerness and love.

Countless nights enfold,
watchful centurions
guard your heart
when finally salvation calls.

A journey of the soul. I like the setting, too. Lovely writing, Amber. Hugs,

Dear Amber, in your poem, you describe how every power gets involved to save this beautiful soul. Finally "the heavens opened its heart accepting all your inequities”. What a rich soul you describe here. Amber, I like the way you write and develop your poem. I would not say intelligence, but you have a heart full of love. God bless you and give salvation to you and all the ones you love.Your Emile

I really liked this one because of the detached objectivity and the personal poet staying out of the picture--just testifying to the strength and beauty of Nature's Time and Her inevitable Saving Grace. Reassuring!
