I'm the ash burnt leaf
Swept by cool energy
Through the sleepy auburn sky.
And unlike a rushing fall
My song's a twisted river
That rolls and curves
More smoothly
Than Helen, Rhea, or Silva.
Like Christ
I am a Rock of Ages
Unchipped, unscathed
3000 years old.
Should a rose be named Tulip
It would smell as sweet
But I
Am more poetic than Troy.
