This wind like so many winds is not going
to chase me away
I'll bind myself like a rock
weather just like every other storm
that's come my way.
Why would I collapse in this one?
I'll anchor myself to the Beloved,
rid myself of this fear and vulnerability.
Grasp the compassionate One. Look
into the eyes of unconditional love.
See the faces of my mother, of John
of my father, my brother, of Buddha
or the almighty God.
Experience this compassionate being
wanting to be here with me; hold on
to this merciful presence. The sun
peeks in and out, leaving space to
envelop and stir me from my slumber.
A hand reaches out and covers mine
I'm here I'm here we're all here.
Let go and forgive yourself for being human.
