Mom!
Mom, I see you sitting in your chair,
Your face serene, your grey hair fair,
My mind strips away the years,
The countless times you wiped my tears
Never failing, always there for me,
But this I so often did not see,
I owe so very, very much to you,
Times of trouble, you got me through
A caring and kind word there,
Always a nurturing smile to spare,
Forever a guiding light,
Constant and unending bright
Solace from life’s storm,
Always loving and true to form,
You saw things I could never see,
But, you were always there to warn me
And even when I was patently wrong,
Your kind words a soothing song,
Your quiet wisdom I always admired,
Sound advice in life sired
And now, as the years slowly fade,
As soft memories silently parade,
There is something you need to know,
Mom, I will always love you so!

It's a great moment for a Mom when her child finally begins to realize how much she has cared through the years. It's something parents could not get across to their children if they tried, but a revelation that can be slow in coming.
Your Mom is blessed by your loving thoughts and words.
