Admit What You Did

In a dying profession, people are dying and a plant manager is wrongfully accused. What follows is just as much a search for 'why' as for 'who'...

Like a lot of people, I love being on the water and this simple poem expresses my sentiments about it.

On a Boat

When I’m on a boat
Life comes back to me
The shimmer of other worlds
Briefly espied through the glare
Entice my eyes to see
The spray across my face
The wind through my hair
And everything else
That the water does to me
Keeps me afloat
Resurrecting hope
And the boy in me
And I want to venture far
Until no land can be seen
Only the surface and sky
And this is the place
Where I recognize myself
And know who I am
Throughout all time

Wow, I've never had the opportunity to enjoy a boat, but I love to swim. I can imagine it, however.

I like the self-awareness and heartfelt contemplation behind this. The short lines read like the sound of a speed boat traveling over the wake left by others of kindred nature.

Quite compelling ~
I feel the same way about water, about the sea. It gives me clarity and unalloyed pleasure!
