Calloused minds, and souls,
Thinking too much,
Praying too much,
Hands are soft and white,
Washed in Pilates bowls,
Blood on the altar of meat,
Blessings too much,
Preying too much,
Hands of Cain, calloused,
All for a tasty treat,
Blessed shawls for eyes and ears,
Hands across their mouth,
Hands thrown in the air,
Deaf to hear their kens despair,
Cry to God of death their fears,
Hallowed casks of craving deed,
Shallow remnant prayer cloths,
Shallow dreadful deeds lay buried,
Among he lays neath bloodied earth,
How dare he now, forgiveness’ seek?
Justice served at last he’s blessed,
Now bone to bone and dust to dust,
His calloused soul and mind will rust,
Neath mother earth and buried ken,
Forever will he rest.©26/10/2010
