I swear to god, yer honor
(As she lifted up her skirt)
I didnt copy nothin'
(As she pursed her lips so pert)
Why, yes, I know this Larry guy
(She kissed him on the cheek)
But never stole his poker poem
(And tweeked his bumpy beak).
He is my friend, tis true , tis true .
(The courtroom started steaming)
But great minds simply think alike
(By now the dear was beaming.)
I wouldnt swipe his wondrous works
(The woman was quite shameless)
But love our similarities.
So please, sir, find me blameless. (giggle)
This is an unveiled dedication to my dear friend and fellow humorist, Larry (you know who you are) Skahill.

|Hmmm. If Larry knew exactly what you were going to write, perhaps he could give you an alibi. "She didn't mean to write it, your honor," he would say. "Some of my pink bunny thoughts hopped into her head and, well, they bounced around in there and you see the result." Is that a good enough alibi, Katydid? Maybe you should go on the lam.|
