Where Is Justice?

Where Is Justice?

When a hungry child is crying
A homeless man is freezing,
A woman, turned prostitute,

or a desperate dog wandering lost.

"Shouting for help,
being attacked,
defending your life,
getting put away."

Where is Justice?

Living in this World,
homeless, penniless,
jobless, ruthless
just trying to survive.

Where is Justice?

When that child steals food,
or that man trespasses,
or that woman gets arrested,
or that dog bites someone.

Where is Justice?
Doesn't anyone care?
Doesn't anyone hear
those cries of injustice?

YES! Good question Ragno! It is the question humanity has to keep asking over and over again until we get it right. Thoughtful and inspiring write!

While there is injustice in this world, there are also people who invite their circumstances. I was one of those people for many years. Homeless. Hungry. Cold. Sleeping wherever I could, unlocked cars. In laundry rooms of apartments complexes. In other words I was a worthless person. But I, like so many out there, did it to myself. I understand there are many people who are actual victims, I dare say there are a good many who, like me, have done it to themselves. Animals. I feel much more compassion for a hungry dog than I do most human beings, because the dog didn't get himself in his situation willingly. People who hurt animals are the scum of the earth as far as I am concerned. Kinda got carried away, my friend, but you touched a nerve.
