“Love beyond time”

Now it was either the day before yesterday
Or perhaps a little more closer to a decade
That you heard me in the gentle mist of passion
Where it stirred in the breeze of sweet memory

You saw me in the bright shadows of Neruda
between the brush strokes of Dali and Picasso
and I, in every sense, was left verily flattered
knowing that my heart slipped onto the pages

I continued to write on into the soft midnights
That caressed the welling eyes of your favor
That whispered in the midst of dear passion
And lifted your palpitations to clear dangers

I would not subside in the warmth of loving
That failed to die in the bright morning after
Long when most disappeared in the distance
Or would not return in the long lost echoes

It was evident that your heart wore sunlight
Just as if it were a robe for a high priestess
And I, In the colored rays that love emitted
Was highlighted in the grace of your vision

It was obvious that I would only remember
The warmth that you radiated around me
And the security of being one unforgotten
Even through the faint passage of time

And in the loud silence we would discover
As the minute hand freezes in its sweep
Even if sometimes the clock stops forever
That love somehow retrieves its own place

Amor the perfection and warmth of your poetry has been missed. So beautiful, stunning as always. Sometimes I think you must have been a personal friend of Neruda.

Expressions of love so beautifully written. Softness in each line and loved the mention of Neruda (one of my absolute favorite poets; oh how he inspires) ... just lovely work! ~Elizabeth

Love it. Last night I said to my lass, if only the clock would stop.
She couldn't really answer just at that moment.

As always, you reach in and grab a piece of my heart with your verses.
You certainly have not lost your touch. Simply stirring and profoundly romantic poetry at your best.

Missed you, hope you will catch up on some of my poetry.

Much peace, love and light,
Amber
