Taped the windows,

Covered them in plastic too,

Bring on the winter, though sealed in I might feel blue…

The cold has started but only at night,

As soon as the sun sets and we lose the light,

The heater keeps the chill off,

So through the winter I don’t develop a cough…

I hope we don’t have to survive another winter like last one,

Snow storms three times in a row, very little sun,

No longer have I got my Jeep, so little snow would be best,

But like all the others I will muddle through,

Enjoying life, love & as much happiness as I can I guess…

... had to check which Ed I was reading for a mo!!! Seems you two should swap survival skills... duct tape or duck tape? Webbed feet for the rain and fluffed up feathers for the cold.... Stay cosy and hibernate! :)) xx

I dunno -- it looks pretty drafty to me, Ed. Better stick some cardboard in the opening to keep the wind out.
Me--I love summer!

Keep warm--I like your weatherized poetry.

"I'm goin where the sun keeps shinin,

through the pourin rain.

Goin where the weather suits my clothes."

Might take a hint from Glen Campbell, Ole Buddy.

Fla. is always nice.

P.S. More duct tape is on it's way.

With that said, if you have a piece of clothing mended with duct tape, You might be a redneck..........LOL

Ed, We here in Florida are nearing the end of our "SCARY" season just as you are coming into yours. Turn off the water, drain the pipes, turn off the heater and head south. When you hit the Florida/Georgia border you're within 5 hours of paradise. Keep going! When you get to Jensen Beach, give me a shout.... First rounds on me. Dick

Yeah, who knows what can happen in the states. The weather is extreme and extremely crazy. I thought our 2 inches of snow was unique. Then I went to NY... lol 2 feet +. And a wind of -16. LOL, never again. Glad you're ready for a heavy winter.

That is all any of us can hope for Ed and I take a small consolation in the fact that the older I get the shorter all the seasons seem to be...

sounds like you are ready
We got snow here today Ed, that cave you show, is at least somewhere down south, are you tied to the Jersey Shores somehow, I mean I don't know your approbiations systems, up here we have no chance, but to wait out another six month, and if you smoked pot like me, no chance getting nearer Florida. Bless ya! Hang in as best you can, at least you are proactive in your approach.
