|Dogs are marvelous watchers. Mine watch my boots, my truck, their treat box, and their leashes - always waiting, watching, and hoping that something will happen soon.
And watch where you walk when you visit Venice. (Lots of pigeon poop will get on those boots!)

|Is that a golden Labrador, patienly waiting for his morning walk, waiting for the master to put his boots on?
This is a succinct lovely poem that is beautifully illustrated by the poem. And those boots remind me of the artwork on my old Penguin paperback editions of D.H. Lawrence - Lady Chatterley's lover, Sons and Lovers, Women in Love. What a reader of the English heart that man was!
Great that you're off to Venice, Kate. Green? Sure, I wouldn't mind being there myself soon ... and Sweden, and Ireland, and London, and so on.
Truly, Venice is one of the wonderlands of the world. Even Tim Burton's Alice cannot compare with gondolas and piazzas, St. Mark's Square. The whole experience is sublime!
I don't use the rating system, and I notice my poetry only appears on the 'poetry by date' column. So I should start specifying the genre - humour, romance, spirituality, etc.
Good to hear from you again. Busy boy Ken!
p.s. Hong Kong golden toilet is exactly that - made of pure gold - gold taps, gold pan, gold wastepaper bin, gold floor, gowden mirror for gowden folk to clock their gowden faces, faeces .. oh, shit! Hehe!

|Ever observant. Ever watchful and expectant of a romp in the wilds to commune. Faithful! Yes, faithful. And always on the "Watch". Really good stuff here Kate. I enjoyed the message and delight in the brevity that accomplished that delight. Love and peace to you my dear friend. Jon Michael|

I found out today, after tests, that my dog has cancer. I don't know what's ahead, but we'll be in it together he and I.
