Early morning. Just waking
up. Still dark out. Nothing
moves, except me, inside.
TV off. The only sound is
the tick tick tick of the clock
and fingers on the keyboard.
Words spill onto the screen
--- better them than my cup
of tea. Ahhhh. Just what I
need to take the chill off. It's
just me and God: love the
time of day before the sun.

To make a poem this visual is the sign of a great poet and that you are Karla. You could have been writing about me except that my cup would contain coffee. Lots of cups of coffee. Lots.
Blessings on your day,
Marcia |

Tea? Karla? Not coffee? <smile> I love those early morning hours too, however, I find I have to go back to bed as soon as the sun comes up.
