My Thoughts Were Scattered
Cool pitchers rested on near by tables
While she bathed beneath the sun
My thoughts were scattered
Relaxing gently near the pool
Terracotta tiles baked beneath the broiling sun
Solomon would have been awestruck
Beside the beauties within my sight
Scarcely clad their bodies sweat
Their lips were moist and tender
Voluptuous, red like cherries
Where frankincense shifted through the air
Where beauties bathed, sheltered in the nearby bathhouse
As linen lined the finest dressing
Swaying beneath the sheltered coverings
Scarcely clad with graceful poise
Relaxing gently among these roses
In the seas, beside sun drenched sands
Seagulls gather in the wind
While palm trees sway in gentle breeze
Misty clouds converge above the seas
The beauties, are bewildered by the clouds
To witness as their bodies sweat
