How Do You

How do you say what is in your heart

To the one who cannot seems to leave your thoughts

How do you tell him that for you

the sun rises and sets in his eyes

That the moon hovers over his head and call him beloved

**

How do you tell him

that for you there is no other love

in this life or any other

That his face is the one you want to see

when the sun kisses the dawn good bye

And at the moment of your transition

and the setting of your sun in this horizon

His strong arms and soothing voice

will be the sound to guide you over

 **

How do you tell him

that there is no mountain high enough

Or any  valley low enough that you would not trek

If for one moment you thought on the other side he would be waiting

With arms outstretch and that magical smile covering his face

 **

How do you tell him

when words your tongue refuses to form

And in those moments of triumph

when some syllables dare to fall forth

They are tangled up with ropes of shoulds

in hues of doubt and insecurities

Giving  no thought to a soul that burns

with a heat that cannot be cooled

A thirst that cannot be quenched

a hunger that cannot be satisfied

But by only one source

 **

How do you say that every face you see

is his face looking back at you

How do you tell the one being

the one lightthat has set your soul to flight

From the moment your eyes his face did sight

How do you say all that and more?

And if by some miracle your tongue did find grace to utter

What difference would it make any way?
