This is the story of a woman I know, who for what ever reason God finds important, loves one man even though he has no want of her and is married to another. |
|
I sit by the phone
Incase
There is a chance
For a reconciliation
A proclamation
An address to the United Nations
Of your undying love
Pledged for eternity
For my heart only.
Your picture still hangs
In the front of my mind
Your memory gets told
And retold
Time after time
To every listener
Who will stop to consider
That there is a chance
For a reconciliation.
Everyone tried to tell me
You were never coming back
But I will not be moved
Or led from this couch
Just in case
There is a chance
For a reconciliation
A proclamation

Your verses share a sadly timeless and universal theme of this life/world, Karen. I am quite sure many individuals can relate to this situation. Thank you. Love and peace to you,
Regis |
