Easy folks its just humor. No minorities, transgenders, religious zealots, political or social misfits were harmed during the writing of this poem

Chinese fleas are smarter than most

They dine on the scalps of brunettes

The Japanese fleas are addicted

To their hosts who all smoke cigarettes

Canadian fleas seek political asylum

In the scalps of conscientious objectors

West German fleas now coexist

With former East German defectors

Norwegian fleas contain fish oil

Where lutefisk is most of the menu

French fleas thrive in women’s arm pits

Where shaving is not part of their venue

Australian fleas are the hardiest

Adapted to warm Foster’s beer

North Korean fleas like to goose step

Taliban fleas tend to sneer

But the fleas of Southern California

Are more mentally malnourished than most

Particularly near the beaches

Where the valley girls tend to be host

Far be it from me to cast aspersions

But as a group I think most of us know

When you place your ear near a valley girl’s head

You can hear all the fleas saying Helloooooo

I'll be baaaack! Peroxide fleas stand out in the overcrowded nest. They migrated upwards from the crabs.

Equally offensive, except to fleas, who prefer dogs anyway.

A powerful and unique take on fleas ~
Personally, I would like to hear your rendition of Boston fleas, but never mind that. How you turn fleas into a numinous experience I can't know, but this is profoundly funny!!!

Patrick, those Valley girls are a hoot on their own, but never got close enough, nor did I ever want to. Cute and lively...

Oh, come on there Patrick. How do you know of all these little, nasty
things that get into your hair and armpits and where else there's a place to hide and nest and itch. Must all be releated to the desert flea. As always, your way with words just blows me away.

there's just so much i could say here; but better refrain for purposes of common decency. placing your ear near a valley girl's head, although relatively simple on paper, is actually quite difficult, as one must wrench two heads under the steering wheel. oh crap, there i go again:-) i loved this man. a keeper for sure.

It doesn't happen very often, but now you've gone and done it.... You've caught me as a loss for words. Nothing I could say would top what you've already said though and besides, I'd probably get in trouble for it, whereas you'll be applauded. At least by me. Well done Patrick. Thanks, Dick
