Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain

The sun is shining even on a rainy day

The skies are aglow with various shades of gray

Raindrops are dancing, hopping, skipping forming puddles here and there

They are singing a song as they splash and splatter here, there and everywhere

The song they sing is one of complacency as they plunge to the ground

A mind-numbing melody, as they come falling down

Too often we forget that the sun is still shining bright

Its present is continuous through each day and each night

The rain will pass and the clouds will part to reveal the sun’s light

We will once more enjoy the blue skies as we do the moon and stars at night

Do not let the rain dampen your spirits, my friend

Enjoy the sun and the rain whichever each day may send

Love the rain and also your poem, Lew!

What a great reminder to "not let the rain dampen our spirits"
I love this sunshiny poem, but I have to admit I felt gloomy when I concentrated on the clouds today. (Fortunately, the gloominess didn't last long)
