Prayer of Plead

Prayer of Plead

Dear Lord,

I have climbed many mountains
seeking the path of my destiny.
I have stumbled to my knees
weakened, weary and scared.

Yet, I hold my eyes to the sky
and pray not for thy self,
for I know the right path
is not the easy passage.

Lord, my prayer is for those
I have met along my journey
those who have stumbled,
ploy in self pity and have
ventured into hell’s gateway.

Lord, I would give my life
to save those who were mislead,
grasping blindly by desire of love,
lured by deceit’s empty promises.

Lord, I would give my crown
for those who could not read the writings,
feel the love or compassion
written on your scrolls.

Lord, forgive me where I have failed,
hear the prayer of my heart
seal my fate with you will.

Lord, forgive them.
Lord, forgive them.

Given them my land,
given them my glory,
for their sins I will stand
and face the stones of man.

Lord, forgive them,
I pray,

Amen
