Past thoughts sometimes hard to fathom,

Some bring upon me a feeling of being numb,

Hide it I do well, but forgetting them cannot,

Be for any length of time, not even with rum…

Brush off the dust,

Long time they’ve been there, they must,

All bread & water they did receive, no crust,

More memories to disclaim, the past a bust…

No one made to cry,

Only to cry is I,

Of what was done I see,

And I have to really wonder why,

All along the pain from within was from me…

I'm one of yours. Deep stuff you are writing Ed. The pain never leaves, really, does it? You can numb it. Travel helps. But when its qiuet and you are alone, the pain shatters peace like a cymbal crash.

A true piece of introspection, the poet looks inward without faar but not without discomfort to bring us a glimpse of the ED beyond Ed

A good write. A gutsy write loved the title, One of your best!
