in a room no one enters
she sits waiting
they knock but aren't allowed in.

from the outside it's beautiful
a flurry of colour
flowers in the garden
trees, grass, the goddess' magick
she helps her at times to keep
the exterior beautiful, all made up

but no one can help with the room inside
though there was a time when they tried
trying to be a good girl she let them
and lost a piece of herself in the process.

peeking out the window, she can see
that the storm is coming. she feels like
the dark clouds rolling across her view
set in their path they have no choice
the ones outside knocking don't see it coming
it hits them full force, the wind picks them up
one by one carried off into the vortex

she smiles a little as the tornado takes them away
there is peace for her once more.
as she sheds one single tear she looks to the corner
silently thanks the goddess
and falls asleep.
