A Freckled Face Child
Once so happy and care free
Playing in her new and exciting world
She danced in her bare feet.
Challenges were only a speckle
She was a ray of sunshine
A face sprinkled with freckles.
Skipping through life, carefree
Not a worry in the world
Complete trust in her Lord.
As she continued to thrive
Taking each new step in stride
She had to learn to say good-bye.
Challenges, once only a speckle
Worries are now her new freckles
They cover her face of sunshine.
Leaning on her Lord for strength
A freckled face child,
Pray’s for a new day to dance.
