A Freckled Face Child

Once so happy and care free

Playing in her new and exciting world

She danced in her bare feet.

Challenges were only a speckle

She was a ray of sunshine

A face sprinkled with freckles.

Skipping through life, carefree

Not a worry in the world

Complete trust in her Lord.

As she continued to thrive

Taking each new step in stride

She had to learn to say good-bye.

Challenges, once only a speckle

Worries are now her new freckles

They cover her face of sunshine.

Leaning on her Lord for strength

A freckled face child,

Pray’s for a new day to dance.

Deborah,

Excellent write. One day we're carefree, than trouble sets it. Life would be easier if we look to the Lord to help take those troubles away.
