All white for the first time this winter,

Blowing snow off the ocean onto the beach,

Maybe only a dusting or so will lay,

Mother Nature lovingly creating a snow day…

I watch it through my window with wonder,

Like a little kid seeing the snow for the first time,

I want to go out and drive around some,

But I don’t want to create any further, on the road, blunder…

So with our first snow,

All of you should know,

The first one is the best,

Hopefully though there will be no more I can call the rest

Wise to stay off the roads. Getting laid in the snow has its unique challenges by the way. Patrick

Man, was I disappointed. A layer of snow softens everything.

"the first one is the best"? REALLY? I thought they were all tumbly and fumbly....!! But yes... this brand of light and airy, squeaky-clean sheet that renews the virgin status of badlands and beaches alike is exhilarating and refreshing for certain sure, Ed. Make sure you practice safe-snow, won't you, there's a good boy... xxx

Non laying on the ground here yet, cannot wait for the first big snowfall, don't know when it will be here. Beautiful to watch those flakes coming down out of the sky.

The picture and the poem are great but might want to reconsider the title lol
