Who can add to Christmas? The perfect motive is that God so loved the world. The perfect gift is that He gave His only Son. The only requirement is to believe in Him. The reward of faith is that you shall have everlasting life. Author: Corrie Ten Boom

They say Christmas comes but once a year and that’s true
But the acceptance of God’s greatest gift to you

Is the birth of the child lying in a straw bed made from a feeding box
It comes once a year but not just one day when the kids hang up sox

But Christmas to me is an ongoing celebration
The birth of the Christ Child given with love and devotion

The adventure started on that glorious day in history
And continued as the child lived, taught and helped unlock life’s mysteries

He came as an announcement from our Heavenly Father on high
He walked on water, healed the lame then was hung on a cross to die

Death could not hold him and he rose up from the grave
By giving our heart to him our souls are thus saved

Let not Christmas end after just one day each year
When children look for Santa, open presents and cheer

Keep it alive until December 25th. Comes once more
Let us keep the wreath hanging all year on your front door

Pray each day a prayer of praise that God so loved us all
So that each one will make ready when the final trumpets call
Merry CHRISTmas!

Merry Christmas, like this expression of the Christmas story and it gets the spirit of Christmas across too.

That is what Jesus stood for, except a lot of people on the 26th go right back to misery. Excellent writing, Lew.

GOD BLESS YOU
